Since it was founded in 1991, the National Real Estate Association (NREA) has served as a leading private sector partner of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) now Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) in helping pursue the goals of the Urban Development and Housing Act of 1992 (R.A. 7279).
NREA is also recognized and accredited by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC), through the Professional Regulatory Board for Real Estate Service (PRBRES).
Since 2012, NREA is an Accredited Training Provider for real estate practitioners.
To elevate the Philippine Real Estate Industry through innovation, collaboration, and advocacy, fostering a thriving sector that contributes to national development and enhanced Filipino lives.

NREA CODE OF ETHICS
We, the undersigned, being all of the Officers and Trustees of the National Real Estate Association, Inc. (NREA), consent and agree that the following association resolution was made during the 6th Monthly Board Meeting on JUNE 11, 2024, 2:00 P.M. via Zoom.
We do hereby consent to the adoption of this resolution.
WHEREAS, the Board of Officers and Trustees of the National Real Estate Association, Inc.(NREA) is committed to promoting the highest standards of ethical conduct by its officers, trustees, advisers, members, chapter officers & members and employees; and
WHEREAS, a Code of Ethics will provide clear guidance to its officers, trustees, advisers, members, chapter officers & members and employees regarding their ethical obligations and responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Officers and Trustees has reviewed and approved the NREA Code
of Ethics as stated below :
“Introduction: The NATIONAL REAL ESTATE ASSOCIATION, INC. (NREA), is committed to our organization with the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior.
Our Code of Ethics serves as a guiding framework for all directors, officers, chapters, employees and stakeholders
to uphold these principles in every aspect of our operations.
By adhering to this Code, we uphold the trust and confidence of our members, partners, and communities we serve.
1. Mission : To elevate the Philippine real estate industry through innovation, collaboration, and advocacy, fostering a thriving sector that contributes to national development and enhances the lives of Filipinos.
2. Vision: NREA as the undisputed champion of the Philippine real estate industry, leading the way towards a sustainable, resilient, and inclusive sector that drives economic growth and empowers communities.
3. Integrity: We handle ourselves with honesty, integrity, and fairness in all of our transactions. We uphold the highest ethical standards and avoid conflicts of interest that could compromise our integrity or the reputation of NREA.
4. Respect: We treat all members, colleagues and partners with dignity, respect, and fairness, regardless of their position, background, or views. We promote an inclusive and diverse workplace in which allemployees are respected and empowered to contribute to our collective success.
We respect each other, and we do not interfere in their private activities. We ask for permission to use any information about members, partners and stakeholders of the national office or chapters. We communicate every activity we do, that is aligned with NREA’s goals. We do not encourage members and partners of other chapters to join our personal interests.
We maintain good partnership with the national office or chapters and we do not seize members, partners and alliance of the same organization.
5. Compliance with Laws and Regulations: We comply with NREA’s By-Laws, polices, rules and legal requirements that govern our organization’s activities. We try to maintain the highest levels of legal and regulatory compliance in all jurisdictions where we operate.
6. Confidentiality: We maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information provided to us by our members, partners, employees, and stakeholders. We adhere to strong confidentiality standards and protect confidential information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
7. Professionalism: We conduct ourselves professionally, exhibiting competence, diligence, and accountability in all of our tasks. We try to consistently improve our skills and knowledge in order to provide great results and value to our stakeholders.
8. Conflict of Interest: We avoid conflicts of interest that could impair our judgment, jeopardize our devotion to NREA, or give the appearance of impropriety. We quickly disclose potential conflicts of interest and take appropriate steps to reduce or resolve them in the best interests of the organization.
9. Protection of Assets: We use organizational resources wisely and efficiently, ensuring good stewardship and protection of the assets entrusted to us. We prevent the theft, fraud, misuse, or misappropriation of NREAs assets and resources.
10. Environmental and Social Responsibility: We are dedicated to environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and corporate citizenship in all of NREA’s operations. We try to reduce our environmental impact, promote diversity and inclusion, and make a good contribution to the communities where we operate.
11. Reporting Violations: We encourage the Board of Officers and Trustees, Members, Partners, Colleagues and the Secretariat to report any violations of our Code of Ethics or unethical behavior immediately and without fear of punishment. We offer numerous methods for reporting problems, including confidential reporting systems, and ensure that all allegations are thoroughly examined and resolved.
12. Compliance and Enforcement: We are committed to maintaining the ideals and standards set forth in this Code of Ethics. Violations of this Code may result in disciplinary action, including termination from the organization or legal procedures, depending on the gravity and type of the offense.
Conclusion: By adhering to the principles and standards outlined in this Code of Ethics, we demonstrate our commitment to integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all NREA activities.
Together, we uphold the values and reputation of the NATIONAL REAL ESTATE ASSOCIATION, INC. (NREA) and contribute to the long-term success and sustainability of our organization. “
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED, that the Board of Officers and Trustees hereby adopts the Code as the official Code of Ethics of the National Real Estate Association, Inc. (NREA); and
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the officers and trustees of this association listed below, and each of them, are hereby authorized and directed to execute in the name of and on behalf of the National Real Estate Association, said resolution and any such further agreement.
